Ferenc Sandor
ERKEL, SANDOR (1846 - 1900), a famous composer and conductor,was the son
of Ferenc
Erkel (1810-1893)one of the most famous hungarian composers. Erkel
Ferenc is said to be the creator of the first modern hungarian opera
dedicated to a national hero László Hunyadi. Erkel also composed the
national anthem of Hungaria. The Sculpture was designed by the artist József
Róna.
